Golden & Healing Milk

This is one of my favorite beverages that support my yogini lifestyle. I hope you may discover something new you may enjoy, too!

Before we start with this recipe, though, here are some tips:

Know what kinds of foods agree with you; avoid those which do not.

So, the ingredients may be fresh, frozen, powdered, or any combination  that works for you.  Ideally, we would favor using organic and fresh  ingredients when at all possible – remain flexible though!  Yoga is not  for the flexibility of your muscles only, but also for the mind and  heart.

The amounts will vary from a pinch to a bit more, depending on your  taste or healing quality you would like to emphasize (some are included  in parenthesis, but the idea is to follow the axiom:  Let food be your  medicine!)

Ingredients

Milk (almond or any type you’d prefer)
Turmeric(anti-inflammatory)
Ginger (supports the digestive system)
Cinnamon (supports heart health, antioxidant)
Clove (rich source of manganese, antioxidants)
Nutmeg (liver and kidney detoxifier)
Cardamon (antioxidant and diuretic properties, may lower blood pressure)
Black Peppercorn (antioxidant)

Optional: Healthy sweetener of choice, such as honey (immune system).

Bring all Ingredients to a soft boil, stirring occasionally.
Serve, sweeten to taste (honey, maple, etc.) and enjoy.

Namaste.
