“Namaste… Since an early age, I was inspired by Eastern studies, partly as a result from growing up in Japan, immersed in the stillness of its culture.  In the early 80s, I was exposed to Yoga for the first time, and fell in love with its potential.  Subsequently, I moved to Spain and dedicated a year to studying Yoga, visiting the Ashram, and learning much more than expected.

My practice began to take root on its own, and I have not stopped practicing and studying ever since. Further on, I completed a B.A. in Psychology (graduating summa cum laude); an M.A. in Liberal Studies; both degrees from Rollins College.

I am certified by Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500, a Continued Education Provider and a Lead Yoga Teacher Trainer (“Yoga for the Living Arts”), as well as by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and by Dr. Loren Fishman in his method of Yoga for Bone Health.

In addition and more importantly, I dedicated 12 years to study Yoga Philosophy and Psychology under the mentorship of Yoga expert, Professor Subhas Tiwari, a graduate from the Bihar University’s Master in Yoga Philosophy,  in the lineage of Swamis Sivananda and Satyananda Saraswati.  I deeply admire his reverence to wisdom traditions, yogic sciences, his well balanced teachings, and am honored that he welcomed me into his home and Satsangha.  I would not be the Yoga Educator I am, if it would not have been for his discerning and compassionate guidance.

Today, more than ever,  I feel it is vital to teach and keep this most valuable oral tradition alive, serving future generations.

For these reasons, it is a true joy and privilege to be able to teach yogic sciences, Buddhist meditations, humanities and art history on the Outschool online platform for children ages 3 to 18 (www.outschool.com), Yoga at Valencia College, as well as through this online program.  Please, allow me to Welcome You to Yoga, pure and inclusive.”
